It tells you to start - load a flight in the simulator and be on the runway - then open flying school and load the flight plan -- how do you switch back to flying school with out turning off the simulator seams a catch 22 how does this work without going in circles - must have missed something in the manual.

Hi: This is the best method: Quit all programs. Always launch FSX first - before you even start the FSFS program. Get into the cockpit of an airplane in FSX. Only then - return to the Windows Desktop (press ALT TAB) and start the FSFS program. Press CONNECT in FSFS. Return to the Windows Desktop (press ALT TAB) and go back to FSX. FSX might be paused - if it is press P to come out of paused mode. Go flying with FSFlyingSchool. Please let me know how you get on.

I have the same problem. Once I am in the cockpit I don't see any obvious way to get back to the desktop to start and connect FSFlyingSchool--FSX takes up the entire window, and you have to quit the flight to get back to the desktop window. I have been able to get to FSFlyingSchool on the program list by using the pearl on the keyboard, but this doesn't work very well. You have to force FSX come back up, lots of flickering and stuff. I must be missing something.

OK, I did get it to work better, but it is not a very smooth recovery back to FSX. But, I guess that's the way it is. I'll get some further experience and see.

Hi: A lot of folks run FSX in windowed mode so they can just click on the other application on the Windows Task Bar (at the bottom of the screen) when they want to switch. You can toggle between windowed mode using ALT ENTER in FSX.

You can toggle between windowed mode using ALT ENTER in FSX.
- and this is clearly the easiest, smoothest way. one click and you switch between programs. I wouldn´t fly it any other way.
