Hello I have a question for you folks. I am new to simming or will be once I get my new computer. I have no previous flying experience but hope to get my pilots license some day. I will be using MSFS and I am wondering if FSFS would be a good program for me to learn from the ground up? At 47 y/o and a young family, I don't have the $$$ to put toward flying lessons. I still want to get the most bang for my buck, and still get a good grounding for what I would be doing when I do get a chance to climb into a real aircraft. Any suggestions that any of you have would be appreciated? Thanks a lot. Tom

Hi Tom: I think you are in for a treat. If you are interested in flying and ready to get some PC equipment - you've got a lot of fun coming your way. Microsoft's FSX is a splendid flight simulator and it contains a set of lessons within it. The lessons are based on specific aircraft at specific locations and are quite detailed. But - they cannot be flown in other aircraft nor at other locations and so if you want a more general - flexible instructor with you, that is where our products come in. With FSFlyingSchool you can fly with an instructor guiding you in any powered airplane, anywhere in the world. The FSX lessons are a structured set - taking you from knowing nothing all the way up to flying a Boeing 737. FSFlyingSchool is not a structured set of lessons - you need to know how to get up into the air first - but once you are there, FSFlyingSchool will be monitoring your handling of the plane in a lot more detail then the FSX lessons and you will have a detailed permanent record of your performance with the FSFlyingSchool scoring system and log books. You can also use our Career Analyzer and Briefing Tool to see which areas you need to improve and concentrate on. Lots of folks have found this to be a fun introduction to flying - we hope you have fun with it too. Remember - all our products have free downloadable manuals at our website, where you will also find free demos of all our products. Happy landings!
