here's a thought for you fine fellows at HQ...

...would it be possible to break the high scores down to class of aircraft?

There are many bush flyers and regional types out there that just aren't seeing their name in lights.

I think the high score idea is a masterstroke and has certainly pushed me to improve my game. i'm sure expanding the competition would increase the pleasure and enhance the potential of an already superb piece of work!

In the future we'll be adding filters to the highscore tables which will allow filtering by any column (e.g. aircraft, visibility, etc).

Glad you like the tables...

I agree with FC. The benefit of heavy aircraft for scoring will work until someone puts an A380 or A225 down really well. That will end the evolution of scores. There must be another never-ending parameter.

I couldn't agree more and as John says, we plan to do this soon - nothin' like a bit of healthy competition to bring out the best in us!

We've added an aircraft filter to the high score tables!

So now you can find out who's the only person to submit a "Beech King Air 350" circuit score, or who's got the 7th highest landing score in a "Boeing 747-400".

Only me again...moaning as usual.

Much as i was an advocate of the high score filtering system the implementation is not what i had imagined.

I had in mind a category of aircraft (small, medium, heavy) rather than the filtering of paint schemes which seems a little too diverse.

Is it possible to add a ZFW variable in the FSR? I'm no programmer so i'm not sure of the practicalities of this.

What do you think? and what do others think? this is a forum so let's get...erm...forumming.

Flood

P.S. Just slap my wrist if i'm getting annoying.

Flood:

Good to hear more from you on this subject - no problem at all - we actively encourage the idea of this forum being a squirming sea of (FS and FSFS related) chatter, ideas, bones-to-pick, suggestions and so forth.

Your point is well made and has been passed along to John, the web wiz. We're looking at what can be done.
