| Ever since I installed FS flying school my aircraft seem to roll without any control inputs especially my Twin Otter. I have had FSX since it came out and I have not experienced this before. It's almost as if there is some failure in the control system. I know FSFS has thier own failures could it be that there is a control failure I'm not seeing? I have uninstalled FSFS and it is still doing it. Thanks

| Hi there - This is a very interesting issue - sorry to hear about the problem. Firstly - FSFS certainly does have a great number of things it will do to optionally produce aircraft failures, but we are not (yet  ) failing anything that would produce a roll in the essential form. Sure - you could have an AP failure which might lead to a roll eventually, but that does not seem to be what you are describing. Secondly - You have of course mentioned that after uninstalling FSFS the problem remains. This suggests one of four possibilities. FSUIPC or changes in FSX or changes in software controlling 3rd party flight controls or a physical problem with a 3rd party flight control.  If you uninstall FSUIPC and the problem remains it seems unlikely that FSFS or FSUIPC were the cause. FSUIPC certainly does have very advanced logic in it which can be used to do all sorts of clever things with 3rd party flight controls. You may wish to take a look at that first and if nothing comes of that, uninstall it and see what you get. FSX will have its own areas for fine tuning controls and of course you can calibrate your contollers using their own software.  Finally - it could be the contoller, but this would be easy to spot by testing it in other software to see if the same proplem occurred and of course by checking it with its own calibration software. Please let us know how you get on.

| I think it was FSUIPC after uninstalling FSFS I still had the problem, I noticed that FSUIPC was still there in my add on window so I tried to uninstall it and couldn't find it anywhere in my control panel or start menu. So I just restored my computer to a date before I installed either programs and the problem is solved, I'm still not sure what caused it. Now I'm a little reluctant to reinstall FSFS. Oh well. Thanks for the input.

The following is from the FSUIPC4 manual (installed along with FSUIPC4) and should help. De-Installation
If you ever want to remove FSUIPC4 from your FS installation, so that it cannot possibly have any further effect, just delete the FSUIPC4.DLL file from the Flight Simulator X Modules folder. You can delete the FSUIPC4.INI and FSUIPC4.KEY files as well, and any FSUIPC4 and WideServer logs you may find there, but with the DLL removed those other files will be doing nothing Please note that without FSUIPC4 none of my other modules will operate either. These include PFCFSX.DLL and EPICINFO5.DLL and their INI, CFG or LOG files. To simply compare things with and without FSUIPC4, move it to a safe place, run FSX, close FSX, then move it back. You only lose the ability to run it when it is in place if the installation file (DLL.XML) is changed or removed form its correct folder. So... if you are up for it - you could install FSUIPC4 (not FSFS) again and take a look at the roll effect. I am sure it will have nothing to do with FSFS. We need to determine what in FSUIPC is causing the roll and make an adjustment to fix it, which I am sure we will be able to do - Peter Dowson's software is excellent and covered in an amazing assortment of trophies. Also - do you have a registered version of FSFS or FSUIPC? (Please state which ones). And - you mentioned that the roll was particularly bad in one aircraft. How is it in the others? Do you use 3rd party flight controls?

| Thanks for your help but I'm not very good at going into my files and stuff so I think I'll just leave it, you can see my sim here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X1JQEsy_3U I do have third party hardware as you can see. I did have a registered and paid for version of FSFS but the FSUIPC was just downloaded for use with your program. The Twin Otter was most affected by the roll issue when I fly a saved flight now in the same conditions (with wind and turbulence) the plane rocks but doesn't roll if left alone it will correct itself. Before it would just continue in a roll then dive. The default planes were less affected but still had the same problem. I appreciate all your support, I'm going to upgrade my computer soon so That I can play FSX to the max so I think I will try FSFS again then. Thanks
