I read in the instructions that you can download new .fsr files for FSFlyingSchools2010. Then you will be able to fly them with the instructors. I would like to fly/learn the Saab 340b and later the Saab 2000. Where do I get the .FSR files so I can use them with this program? Thank you. Gus

Hi Gigemaggs99
On the FSFS site if you go to "The Hanger" you can always download a file containing all .fsr files. You can see what planes are in the hanger here too.
But if the Saap 2000 is not there, then you can still fly the plane, with the instructor. All you gotta do is select the plane in FSX and then startup FSFS, and connect. After a little while the program will show a line of text, stating that this is an "unknown airplane - estimating profile" FSFS will look in the aircraft files in the FSX folders for plane specifics. Nearly every time it will find the correct values, but sometimes things dont match 100%.
You can just fly on, and have the instructor evaluate you same as always, but you cannot sumbit scores to the web, with those auto-generated planefiles.
If you find that something is not correct, (like the instructor telling you to lower the gear, and the plane has fixed gear) then you can - after the plane is automatic genreated, go back to FSFS to the airplane tab, and click the "userfile" bullet. Then make the corrections you want, and press "save". You have now created a .fsu file, a user created file. This one (if youre 100% sure its correct) you can upload to the FSFS site to have the crew there, make a "real" .fsr file out of it, when they do the next batch of planefiles, a complicated and long process of encryption and such.

I downloaded and followed the video tutorial on how to do this. I entered the values in the appropriate fields. When I click on "save" nothing happens. The button isn't grey out so it looks like I can click on it, but when I click on it nothing happens.
How do I make it save this file?
I closed FSFS and opened it back up and there is no file saved. Do I have to do it every time I start FSFS?

I´m not quite sure if you are talking about the plane file, the .fsu file, or registration of FSFS, as you wrote about in another post. But:
If its the registration process, remember that you HAVE to have administrators rights to install, register, and operate the program. You can rightclick on the shortcut to FSFS and "run as" administrator when its installed.
If Its the planefile you mean, then no fields in the aircraft tab will gray out. This because you can keep on editing the file.
When you have made your alterations, and saved it, then you can go to your FSFS folder and go to the aircraft folder in here. Look for a .fsu file of your plane.
If you sort the content of the folder by "last edited" the file will show op last. Saab_200.fsu or something like that I would guess.
