Discovered your program yesterday and as a new MSFSer I'm very interested in it.
However, I have a few questions. Unfortunately, I had very little time last night to experiment, so I may be missing important things.
1) It would seem to me that a Flying School experience would include three parts; Ground School-to learn about the process, Training Flight-prepared as part of the package and an Instructor (these are provided by the basic MSFS package). It seems that FSFS provides only the last part.
- Am I missing something?
- I had the time to briefly try to get the demo to work with the Flight Lessons (my current skill level is about maxed out by my not falling out of my seat when at altitude, so the Lessons are where I properly belong) included with MSFS -
- first of all, I could never get FSFS to become active, problems that might have caused this seem to me to include:
- the MSFS Flight Lessons are based out of the Seattle area, not the Chicago area as MSFS requires.
- conflict between the MSFS Instructor and the FSFS Instructor
- my failing to start FSFS properly
- As I read your instructions, I need to start MSFS and get an aircraft ready to go and then initiate FSFS. Which seems to me that I have to have the aircraft ready to go, then ALT-TAB to the desktop and start FSFS and then reenter MSFS. I did this and there was no indication that FSFS was active. Very possibly I did something wrong.
2) If I am not missing anything (other than how to get FSFS to start), that would mean no Ground School and that I would have to take charge of my own flight training and design my own training flight, even though I have no idea what I'm doing.
Any info/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

| Hi - FSFS does require that the user has some idea of how to control an aircraft. We do not do the very basic stuff as that is already covered well in FS. Our demo works near Chicago. We recommend that you try it there - not in Seattle. It is essential that FSUIPC (which is free) is installed an working correctly - please see our manual for full details. FSFS does not have a ground school, nor anything else which is not described in our advertising and manual, but has helped thousands of users all over the world get more from their experience with FS. We hope you will too!

OK, so FSFS is sort of a post-graduate course for the already basically qualified pilot seeking to improve their skills, rather than seeking to initially gain those skills?
This is what I've come to suspect, but I appreciate your information. The term 'flight school' confused me as I was thinking in terms of the initial skill development as a flight school. Your product is now on my 'short list', but before I can use it to advantage, I need to complete my basic training.
