Hi, I am in need of some help. When I try to load a flight plan I get the FSFS2010 runways data not present. I select generate runway data for FSX. It will run Makerunways version 3.98 and it says they were all produced OK. When I select OK, runwaygen runs but it gives me this error: load Error:75 - Path/File access error Location:WriteFile

I have ensured that both FSX and FSFS were installed and ran as administrator. I also tried disabling Windows Firewall. I am at a loss, any ideas? Thanks

UPDATE... So I tried running FSFS from the root folder vice my shortcut on the desktop. When I opened it, the program appeared as if it had never been used before (no pilot data and still in the demo version). I re-entered my registration and created a new shortcut to the desktop. IT WORKED! I think the shortcut was not allowing full admin rights even though it showed that it was. Thanks.

Thank YOU for the detailed analysis and solution of the problem you experienced. All this adds to the knowledge base here at the forum which people can   SEARCH    and find answers from. The often gets folks the fastest answer possible.

Say - which version of Windows are you running?

Windows security has become increasingly restrictive and this can lead to some very complex outcomes.
