When setting up a fsu file for specific aircraft you have a listing for "MaxGearExtension" Is this for Vle or Vlo? I would like to suggest that since these two speeds can be very different depending on aircraft that each one be identified so you don't get squawked at Zane

In this version of FSFS the program monitors gear up or down according to the speed in this slot in the FSU or FSR (aircraft data file). It certainly would be a good idea for the team to split the speed into its two real world components of Vle and Vlo. Right now, the data has been using the lower of the two speeds (Vlo) and taking the most conservative view possible of the pilot's use of landing gear, but this is admittedly a simplification that we'd want to expand on in later versions.
