Hi Jeff or others,

During my flights in a cessna 182rg, at a regular time mr. Smith says: "What's that smell!"

Is this to be concidered as a serious problem or just a little joke of mr. Smith?

A good question and one that deserves a straight answer.

Your point is well made because he could be wondering why all that wiring is on fire, or something similar. 

In this particular case, he's joking.

Anyone who wants to can of course turn this off, as explained in the manual.
