I found this post by accident today. Two years since the initial post - by SL, and since that - nothing! I cannot understand it. It´s a great post. I would very much like to hear people tell about their favorite moment(s) with FSFS, so lets hear it...
I think my favourite moment was a landing in Yuzhno Sakhalinsk - in Russia, during the WWT. I was heading there from Vladivostok, in a Boeing 737. The landing was a non-ils landing, and it was in fair conditions, but with quite heavy wind.
Thing is, I was raving around the glideslope all the way down, plane constantly getting thrown off course, and I reckoned that I would end up with a great big Zero. Then the final touchdown, the wind threw me right onto the centerline and smacked me down. Mr.Smith was obviously impressed beyond words, or just so scared that he couldn´t speak, because he let me come to a complete standstill before he told me in a very hoarse voice that he rated my landing at 177,65 points.
I acted ever so cooly and said nothing, but inside I was screaming, rolling on the floor laughing my a$$ off. It was blind luck that I got this score. Afterwards I could see that it wasent all luck. If I had been flying too much of course on final, the score would have suffered, so I corrected faster than the points could run out. Of course I got lucky that the wind did put me right on the centerline pointing the right way, but I had the controls in hand, and I did the job.
Anyway this is my favorite moment in FSFS I think. I was lucky, and I was proud, and Smith was my best friend that day in January 2009.
Regards
Ole Andreasen, Denmark

Great stuff Ole and Jeff. I had tested out the FSFS with a few of the Instructors to what reactions they gave to certain inappropriate maneuvers made, and to my surprise most of them where caught correctly by the instructor(s). Great to see and hear the program has that sensitivity; as for you Ole, Wow!! what a fantastic adventure with the landing of that B-737. Landed on the Centerline!!!!! as you said it was a great laugh. I wish I could have seen that one, I'd probably be rolling around on the floor laughing my A_ _ off too. Attached are the 4 files for you to view. CSV file not quite sure what it is yet. Have a great week end Jeff and Ole. Regards, Garrick. Instructor Team.

All, I'm not really sure if this counts as one of my favorite moments, but when I got caught hook, line, and sinker with this program about a year ago, if you would have had a camera on me when I was screaming at the monitor after a score Mr. Smith gave me....i think all would have got a major chuckle out of me. Although I can't repeat most of the abusive language pointed at Mr. Smith on this website, it was rather amusing. Since then, me and Smitty have toured the world together, and I must say we get along much better now? Errr...ok...that's a flat out lie! We have our moments. Without a doubt, FSFS is a great product!

Mr. Smith is very good at giving it staight up when it comes to Instucting and grading. I would have more than likely laughed my A.... off too. I gree Joe, FSFS is without a doubt, an excellant Program/Product. Happy flying JoeMini. Cheers, Garrick.

Guys: Thanks for all the kind words! Yeah - that MrSmith has heard a lot of "excited" pilots over the years, yet through it all, he smiles...

My Favorite moments in FSFlyingSchool. Well first of all, Mr. Smith has an aptitude for causing arguments about the flight performances of a professional Airline pilot! ; however, that Mr. Smith sure gave it to me straight up! Flying within Flight Simulator X it is much different than it is in real world aviation. Mr. Smith has taught me how to correctly fly in the simulator! FSFlyingSchool has given me the extra edge that us real world airline pilots, and civil G.A. pilots whom have the lack there of in flying within Flight Simulators. I must give a great big round of applause to Mr. Smith for making me a better Flight Simulator pilot. I couldn't have found a better program to help teach an old fart like me how to fly as well as I can now in a Flight Simulator. Mr. Smith you are truly a 'C.F.I.'. I would not buy any other Flying School training Sims product, but FSFlyingSchool to teach an old fart like me to fly! Thank You Mr. Smith! CaptGarrick.
