I listened to the video but not sure I under stand. It mentions about leaving aircraft on runway and diconnecting flying school and it will gather info it needs frm aircraft???
Am I on track or what?

TimHi Tim, To be less technical as I normally am  , I would suggest reading the following 5 pages in FSFlyingSchool 2009 Manual: p.g. 6, 14, 33, 34, 35. You Can locate that by going into C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool\FSFlyingSchoolManual.pdf  I hope this will help? It saves us a long winded conversation for you to sit and ponder over this one. If you use FSFS2009 you can fly with any plane you want to. You just connect FSFS when the plane is ready on the runway, and if you have a plane NOT in the FSFS hanger, then FSFS will estimate the planes settings from the plane files in FSX/FS2004. You dont have to do anything.
BUT, not all plane files are equally good, and the guesses made by FSFS can only be as good as the planefiles allows, so if you experience settings not in tune with reality, you can alter the settings. After FSFS has estimated the planes settings (green line of text indicates that after a few seconds after connecting FSFS, you disconnect FSFS again, and go to the "Plane" tab in FSFS. Here you simply alter the settings you see, to what better settings you might have gained from books, the internet, or wherever you might have gotten it. Finally SAVE settings and you will have made yourself a .fsu plane (user specified plane file) Next time you fly with the same aircraft, FSFS will automatically select your planefile. Only thing is that you cannot submit scores using planes estimated by FSFS or altered by user. Only planes autorithed by FSFS developers, and thus vacumed for errors, will bring you the ablility to submit the score to the highcorelist on the FSFS site.

Well written Ole!  Just a note: I gave the References of FSFS2009 Manual just to help Tim to understand the Aiplane(s) specs and the sort.
