Hi simmers,
I have tries FSFS2009 for a week or so. Great program. A few questions though....
1) After a flight I go to Log Book, but I am not able to "View Full Pilot Log Book". I can see the log book for the flight I just ended. I have made a new pilot called "aviator". So I do not understand what is wrong. When I try my Firefox browser is activated and a note tells me that "Firefox is not able to find the file /C/Program Files (x86)/FSFlyingSchool/Pilotroster/Aviator.htm" I have searched this forum and found a few threads concerning this problem. But I am not able to see exactly what the solution was in the end. Something about creating a new directory and then install the whole program again ???
2) A small issue: Starting a session the instructor suggest that I check ailerons, elevators and rudders. (Not flaps??) But the instructor only confirms when I check ailerons and elevators, not the rudders. Any reason for that?
Best Regards Lars

Can you open the file directly from Firefox?
* Open Firefox
* Select "File" and then "Open File" from the menu
* Find the file located in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\FSFlyingSchool\Pilotroster\Aviator.htm
Does it display correctly in Firefox?

No - that is not possible. No such file there and no htm.files for the two default pilots in FSFS either.
In Denmark the default folder for Prgrams is spelled in Danish = Programmer (x86) and not in english = Program files (x86). But I do not think this means anything!
In the folder "C:\Programmer (x86)\FSFlyingSchool\PilotRoster\" i only find the two default pilot plt.files and then a folder containing the images connected to these two pilots.

When you made the aviator pilot file, did you remember to save it? I have made several pilots (and I have Danish layout as well) and never experienced any problems. Try to make a new pilot and save it. There is no autosave feature.
2) A small issue: Starting a session the instructor suggest that I check ailerons, elevators and rudders. (Not flaps??) But the instructor only confirms when I check ailerons and elevators, not the rudders. Any reason for that? No flaps check.... A suggestion to the producers of the program... Rudder check IS confirmed, but it have to be a complete edge to edge rudder movement. I sometimes have to do the checks a few times before getting a confirmation, but the Instructor does confirm rudder too.
Best Regards Lars Happy flying Lars...

I have saved my pilot. And funny enough - when I want to load a pilot I can see the two default pilots + my own "aviator.plt" files.... But when I'm out of FSFlyingSchool and in Windows go to the folder "/C/Program Files (x86)/FSFlyingSchool/Pilotroster/" then there is no aviator.plt file and no .htm-files (even no .htm files for the two default pilots). I hope this is enough information for SL to solve my problem.... /Lars

Lars: 1. There is no mention of "flaps" in the suggestion of what to check because there are a limited number of voice files we can record, and add program logic to go with them, and those we have recorded and provided logic for do not cover all configurations of every aircraft, many of which do not have flaps. Your remark is noted and we may indeed add this to the program in future. 2. As to your problem with your pilot files, please zip and send to info@fsflyingschool.com the entire contents of your C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool\PilotRoster (or whatever else it may be called on the PC you described to us) and we will continue our investigation from there.

Hi SquadronLeader!
Just send you an e-mail with the zip-file plus further informations.
(appendix)
BUT.....
After running the program as administrator every problem seems solved. Now I can create the runways AND view the pilots I create in the PilotRoster folder.
Who invented this rubish called Vista
/Lars
PS Thank you for your help and a great program!

Lars: Sorry - I forgot to mention, Ole is quite correct, make sure you test a full movement across the whole range of the rudder, aileron, elavator, flaps and main exit. The instructor will confirm all of them.
