Hi all Just wondered about the plane collection in the hangar. Is there any reason for that particular collection, or is it just that they are the only ones submitted so far? I would like to be able to enter the online scoring compo, you see, but my favourite plane, the Carenado C152II is absent from the list. It's not a deal-breaker, as I have a Just Flight plane I could use, but it's definitely second choice.... All the best, Andy

Andy: The planes in The Hangar are indeed simply those we or enthusiasts have created profiles for. If you have a good profile for your favourite plane please submit it to us (you can just email it to info@fsflyingschool.com  and we will include it in the next Hangar update. We confess, with all the work we have been doing on FSFS2009, The Hangar is seriously due for an update...

Well I'll bet we can get them done quicker than a jackrabbit chasing a carrot down a precipice after drinking 10 espressos. Leave it to me...

Hi both Thanks for replies. To be honest, with my limited (read: non-existent) knowledge of aircraft data, I wouldn't trust any data I researched personally. I'll therefore bow down to your vastly superior expertise and play the waiting game.......................... Or buy another plane All the best, Andy

Well - you can always play with values at the FSFS Aircraft Page - you can't really break anything and you can always change 'em back. The values you need to know are often available in the documentation or files that come with add-on aircraft, but this is in no way a standardized system and the information is not always available or complete. One of the best places to look is at the reference and checklist HTML files published with the aircraft (if any... ).

That's the spirit! Go for it! In our experience, flap speeds are amongst the hardest to find, but the clever detective will note that they can sometimes be found displayed within the aircraft itself, right on the panel. often somewhere near the flaps handle. Have a good snoop around the aircraft's 2D and 3D cockpits and see what you can spot.
