Hi there qwplotts.
FSFlyingschool works just the same on FSX as on FS9. You will feel no difference in the use at all.
The difference between .fsr and .fsu files is that the .fsr files is planefiles made by FSInventions (the makers of FSFlyingschool) They are checked to be exact and correct in settings. These files can therefore be used to submit scores to the web, to compare your performance to others.
The .fsu files are planefiles made by the user. If a plane is not in the FSFS hanger you can make your own planefile - a .fsu file - so you can fly your planes in FSFS. But as you can make settings completely as you want, you cannot upload scores to the web.
If you have made a correct .fsu file, you can upload it in the forum and then the guys at FSInventions will look at it, if it is OK, they can make a .fsr file of it and put it in the next update of the hanger.
Hope this helps you
Regards
Ole Andreasen, Denmark
