I know this forum is dedicated to the helping of other with FSFlyingSchool insights, problems, etc, and I don't want to take away from this....but I just can't help but mention this. Part Giddy I realize... I recently made a purchase of over $200 bucks on scenery enhancements to go along with my favorite new program FSFlyingSchool. Came across another forum and the subject was scenery and the more and more I read about it...decided to give myself an early Christmas present. I went out and bought from Flight1 all the scenery enhancement for FSX. I bought 4 SceneryTech Landclass programs, 3 Ultimate Terrain programs, and the Ground Environment X program. All I can say is holy crap! Compared to regular old scenery generated by FSX to this is 10-fold. All 3 programs working together makes a huge difference. Last night I flew around Hawaii and even my local area. Unbelievable. So what's my point....Because the roads, highways, and the buildings/structures to some degree are pretty darn close to accurate, especially the highways, when you are using FSFS will make your training that much better. I was practicing rectangle patterns on the ground just like you would do in real piloting. My hometown of Wichita is laid out in 1 mile squares, so with this software, I could make out all major roads and highways as visuals. And that is pretty damn impressive... Along with my WWT Tour I'm doing, I wish the Europe GEX will come out soon (soon to be on the market), so I can enjoy that part of my journey. Presently on my second to last stop in Canada, ready to head over to Greenland and Iceland, and finally over into SL's and Ole's neck of the woods. Thanks, and I'll hang up and listen...

Hi Joe. A $200 scenery purchase. Wauu. As Pierce Brosnan said, as James bond: Christmas really comes early this year! I am on the verge of getting myself a decent rig that can run FSX to the max, I am gathering info on what to buy these days, and soon I will have the benefit of a fast computer. Right now I woulden´t think of enhancements as the framerates in my FSX are really really bad as it is, but I would like some pics from you of the hawaiien aera and of the Caribbean area, if you please, and then a list of what you bought for your $200. So I can wish and wish and wish for such, at the REAL Christmas. Use this forum, or my mail

Get yourself the best computer and video board you can afford, and then have it outdated the minute you slap $2000 down on the old plastic! The programs I bought, I've seen on several sights (www.pcaviator.com) but I used the following site because they had them all that I wanted so they got my money: www.flight1.com Take a look at all the pictures and writeups. There's an excellent forum that flight1 uses called for all of there products. I've learned a ton about scenery from people just like this forum. http://www.simforums.com/forums/default.asp?C=4 Anyway I got the 4 Scenery Tech Lanclass - Europe, South America, North America, and Asia. The are all presently download only. Real easy to do, although I sweated it out of course. Then I got the 3 UTX landclass programs - Ultimate Terrain USA/Canada bundle deal, and Ultimate Terrain - Europe http://www.scenerysolutions.com/ And finally, I got the GEX - USA/Canada edition. http://gex.flight1.net/ If you read on the above mentioned forums you don't need all of them, but if you do have all of them, they all work to bring out the best in FSX.

And yes...If SL doesn't mind a few pic's...I'll try to post a couple to show off what it is capable of... If not I'll have a bunch of great one's now with all the stops in WWT.
