Hi,
A new user to this excellent tool. Having some issue in loading flight plan. Read the manual, but got error message saying
Please go to the Settings Page and Specify a valid folder for FSXYou may need to disconnect from FSFlyingSchool first.
Tried different folders but always the same message. Read FS2020 plan does work if the flight was started with a defined flight plan, but not sure if it is working if i change the flight plan in flight.
Please help me to understand how to get the folder right and select flight plan using Load Flight Plan.

My Windows user name is fspilot
on so on this PC the flight plans are stored in...
C:\Users\fspilot\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\
These flight plans can be loaded into FSFlyingSchool 2022 at the flight plan screen.

Thanks for the reply.
I did specify that folder with flightplan in there. But Load Flgith Plan button still give me the same error message. Shouldnot it open a window for me to select flight plan to load instead?

Hi Lei:
Please send us a screenshot of the error - showing the data in the flight plan folder text box in FSFlyingSchool and showing the error message - to support@FSFlyingSchool.com
Please also copy and paste the folder path - taken directly from the flight plan folder text box in FSFlyingSchool - into the email.
If the path is correct then a list of flight plans in it should be displayed.

Was this resolved?
I have the same problem (MSFS2020).
I also tried putting my flight plans in a folder right under the C: drive to see if that would fix it but I still get the same error.

Yes - Lei's problem was resolved and I am sure we can resolve the issue on your PC - sometimes there is no universal fix, so can you please send us a screenshot of the error - showing the data in the flight plan folder text box in FSFlyingSchool and showing the error message - to support@FSFlyingSchool.com

To all readers:
FSFlyingSchool looks at all the simulators on the PC and if you have had FSX on the PC in the past, but it is no longer there, or has moved or been deleted this can cause an issue on some PCs.
If you experience the problem reported in this topic, you can make a change to the file
settings.ini
which will be in the FSFlyingSchool folder on your PC.
Just change the line which says
FSX=
to say
FSX=no_such_folder\
and that should solve it! 😊
