It is rare, but some folks have experienced this when generating runway data for FS Instant Approach for X-Plane...
"Error 424"
"object required"
Firstly – if FS Instant Approach is working well, then its data is good and it is at your disposal to use and enjoy – so it is not necessary to fix anything.
The error is most likely related to a “permissions” issue with Windows, whereby the security configuration of the PC is preventing the process from running. You may be able to run it without error by performing the following steps exactly as described below…
(This used to be compulsory but is now only suggested to solve such errors)
FS Instant Approach should always be run ‘as an administrator’.
You should do this even if you are the only person who uses the PC and even if you are an administrator.
To do this, right click on the FS Instant Approach icon, shortcut or menu item you use to launch FS Instant Approach, select
‘Properties’ from the menu, select the ‘Compatibility’ tab, and turn ON ‘Run this program as an administrator’.
But remember that if FS Instant Approach is working, then running without the error is not necessary.
