It has been a while since I've used Windows so not sure if this is even possible.
Windows 10(64bit)
X-Plane 11
FS Flying School
All seems to be working correctly but...
I have speakers plugged in to the speaker port on the back of the computer and a boom mike/headset plugged in to the mic/speaker ports on the front of the computer.
Is is possible to direct the sound from X-Plane to the speakers and direct the FS Flying School sounds/voice commands to the headset?

Hi dastagg:
I'm not familiar with the X-Plane sound output options, but I would be very surprised if you cannot tell XP exactly where send its audio output. I am sure a look at the manual will solve that.
And the same is true for FSFlyingSchool - you tell it to use any sound card you have at the settings screen of FSFlyingSchool.
Have a great weekend of flights!

There must be something wrong with my computer.
If I open the "DTS" app and enable sound from "multiple streams" (both front and rear jacks), I see the two devices (i renamed then "Realtek Back and Realtek Front) listed in Properties.
So, I plug in the speakers into the back jack and plug in the headset into the front jacks.
I can then go to FS FS and set the sound to the front jack as you explained. There is no setting in X-Plane Settings "Sound" but I figured as long as the default sound was the rear jack, all will be okay.
I launch X-Plane and the sound is projected from the little computer speaker! You know, the little tiny thing inside the computer that beeps about the Post-up process.
But, if shut down X-Plane, disconnect the headset from the front jacks, and re-launch X-Plane, the sound plays out of the speakers that are plugged into the back jack.
I also went to Properties and updated the Realtek driver for the Sound Card and re-booted but that didn't help.
I am going to set this "project" to the side for the time being and "work" on improving my "flying skills".
If I have an update in the future, I will post it here.
