Hi, can you assist me?

When I set up Flight Simulator (FSX) on my Windows 7 computer with a plane ready to fly. I start Instant Approach, complete all necessary boxes. and I then click the 'Connect' button. Everything loads but does not connect to Flight Simulator. To connect to Flight Simulator, I have to use Alt/Ctrl/Del, start Task Manager and click Flight Simulator. I then have a plane ready to fly from where I wanted it. (Sometimes, not everything loads properly and I have to repeat the procedure.) Why does the Instant Approach not connect straight into Flight Simulator at the press of the 'Connect" button?

I have been using Instant Approach now for a few weeks but always the same result.

Thanks

Hi:

Thanks for your interest in our products.

FSX and FSIA need to run as 2 separate programs as you have seen.

But it can be quite simple to change from FSIA to FSX and back and forth.

You can always use the standard Windows command ALT TAB to switch to the next program running.

Some folks prefer to run FSX in "Windowed" mode so it is easier to see which programs are running. You can move in and out of this mode by pressing ALT ENTER while in the cockpit in FSX.

Hi Brian:

I mentioned that some folks prefer to run FSX in "Windowed" mode so it is easier to see which programs are running. You can move in and out of this mode by pressing ALT ENTER while in the cockpit in FSX.

In "Windowed" mode you can select which program you want simply by clicking on its window on the screen - there is no longer any need to use ALT TAB.
