UHMM Thats VF(R)! ooops!

Hello! I am new to FSschool! and do find it to be a useful but very basic learning tool in the flying world! it does add something new and different to FSX (or for the old school Simmers FS9!,LOL)

It appears to only have very limited (and sometime incorrect) ground help and 0(zero) training help for flying in the pattern around arifield's! (wich is very important for flight training!)and no help for callout's or position call's! very important in all training, to be a complete and very useful tool for learning the right and not the wrong way's of flying!

It would be nice if at the end of the taxing to take-off, if you could put in a pre-flight check notice!

And it would be really nice to have some corective help or comments while on a cross country with a filed flight plan,(things like, if you go off course or your not at the right alt.:w00t

Could it be possible to add these as an ad-on in the future! even if it's a small pay ad-on,( I would be willing to pay 5 or 10 bucks?more!),

Othr than these I will keep on usesing FSschool!

>> Hello! I am new to FSschool! and do find it to be a useful but very basic learning tool in the flying world! it does add something new and different to FSX (or for the old school Simmers FS9!,LOL)

Glad you like it. Very basic in what way?

>> It appears to only have very limited (and sometime incorrect) ground help

Please describe the errors so we can work on them.

>> and 0(zero) training help for flying in the pattern around arifield's! (wich is very important for flight training!)

Pattern flying is analyzed in more detail than any other aspect of airmanship in FSFlyingSchool - I am not sure I understand your point.

>> and no help for callout's or position call's! very important in all training, to be a complete and very useful tool for learning the right and not the wrong way's of flying!

There are many things FSFlyingSchool does not do, but it is always being expanded.

>> It would be nice if at the end of the taxing to take-off, if you could put in a pre-flight check notice!

As so many other products use checklists, we saw no need to replicate what others have done well. Our product introduces unique functions not seen elsewhere.

Did you have in mind a checklist for the specific aircraft?

>> And it would be really nice to have some corective help or comments while on a cross country with a filed flight plan,(things like, if you go off course or your not at the right alt.:w00t

We agree and this is something we are looking at right now!

>> Could it be possible to add these as an ad-on in the future! even if it's a small pay ad-on,( I would be willing to pay 5 or 10 bucks?more!),

We've added new features in 10 free releases since we first published the program. We are coding more features right now, some of which will be added at no cost, but which will eventually lead to version 2 which will be a new product in its own right.

>> Othr than these I will keep on usesing FSschool!

Excellent - let us know how you get on!

Wow! quick! reply!!

In your defence, I have only had a small amount of time to fly using FSFS!

As far as the taxi to take off thing!, No, not a checklist! I think, maybe a reminder to do one, and to stop at the line, before entering the runway? and maybe even to look for incoming traffic? now that would be very realistic and nice!!!!!

As for the pattern thing, I flew several times between KFFZ and williams gateway,(and some other field's!) and had no comments from FSFS about doing anything in the pattern's (thing like, reminding the PIC to call position in the pattern to the tower?, ie, downwind, crosswind, final, etc.) these are the kind of thing's that would be nice to have!(even if there is no response from the tower, it should still be done!).

I do think you have a very unique product!, and think in time it can become a very useful tool! for flightsimming, and "maybe!" even for real world "basic" training!

KeepEm flying! (and learning the right way to fly!)

We aim to please! Thanks for your feedback - the forum depends on it!

>> In your defence, I have only had a small amount of time to fly using FSFS!

We hope the more you fly the more you'll get from it. Also - all users will at least triple their enjoyment if the manual is read. FSFS does a lot of things that are well worth having, but take some time to get used to and understand. I compare it to an autopilot on a modern airline in that sense. Does cool things, but you have to know how to use it.

>> As far as the taxi to take off thing!, No, not a checklist! I think, maybe a reminder to do one, and to stop at the line, before entering the runway? and maybe even to look for incoming traffic? now that would be very realistic and nice!!!!!

Excellent - this is certainly something we can look at. Splendid concept!

Again - great points. Please read through the circuits section of the manual. This is one of the most heavily worked parts of the program - the instructor is watching the circuit very closely and does tell the pilot what to do to fly the circuit.
You'll need to complete some good landings and "flights" (literally taking off and landing) first as described in the manual. Circuits in FSFS are demanding, but very rewarding. Be prepared to score zero at first and then, one day, post an amazing score to the web and become the FSFS community's object of fawning admiration.

>> I do think you have a very unique product!, and think in time it can become a very useful tool! for flightsimming, and "maybe!" even for real world "basic" training!

We are looking at this...

>> KeepEm flying! (and learning the right way to fly!)

Will do!
