Hello to the forum.
I just recently recognized that I need to update the runways from FSFS 2018 (v 7.1.0). So I followed the given procedure. It ran the makerwys.exe w/o any issue. But after that an Error popped up stating an overflow and stopped the update. If attached a screenshot of the message.
Pls. advise if I did anything wrong or what to do to overcome this issue.

regards
Heinz

update
the overflow message arises when reaching 41352 runways. Hope this helps. Also tried all steps and hints found in this forum, no success.

Hi Heinz:

Thank you for your interest in our products.

Glad to help!

All indications are that one particular runway contains bad data and this is causing our runway data creation program to abort. The runway is almost certainly an add-on, but need not be.

The runway is either the 41,352nd to be processed or the 41,351st.

I need to see the runway data generated by the makerwys program - this is in a file around 100 MB big called:

Runways.txt

which you will see in your main P3Dv4 folder - note that it will have the date and time which you last generated the data.

I need to talk about specific private details of your PC and so will now switch to email - I have already sent you an email a few moments ago - please continue this case there and I will finally update this topic here on the forum when we have completed it.

I am sure we will find what the problem is an get you up and flying with us!

To all readers:

Good news - Heinz is up and flying without problems.

We determined that there was something about the add-on

fsAerodata

files in his airport/runway data which was causing the problem.

As I recall this is the first instance of an add-on creating such as situation, but it should always be borne in mind that FSFlyingSchool is made to work with its intended simulator and the version of FSUIPC or XPUIPC which matches it, but we make no claim that it will work with any other add-on.

There are simply so many add-on planes, airports, scenery packs, utilities, etc that we cannot possible test every combination, of which there would be literally millions.

So... please try the free demos of our products first and... have a great week of flights!

At the time of writing - here are the demos of FSFlyingSchool...
