Hello: I have the maul m7 file loaded and fsflight school detects the aircraft. I am continually told however my flaps are down, when in fact they are up retracted. This becomes annoying with the constant complaints from Mr Smith.
What is wrong? how can I prevent this?
Thank you

Hi:
Glad to help!
>> "I have the maul m7 file loaded"
Which file is this?
Are you using an add-on Maul or one supplied with P3D?
If an add-on - who published it and what is its version?
Which version of P3D are you using?
Which version of FSFlyingSchool P3D are you using?

Hi:
Our investigation of this is in progress but I wanted to let you know what I dare, as soon as possible.
As you can imagine, there are a lot of planes out there and we sometimes find unexpected details.
Indications are that the penultimate flaps position is the one we want for "no flaps", as the fully "up" position is actually... negative... as this, by design, helps the aircraft go faster.
So we know that if you raise the flaps to the next-to-last (last-but-one) setting, FSFlyingSchool will consider the flaps "up" and not require that the flaps be adjusted.
Indeed the Maule starts a session in P3D with the flaps at zero - which is NOT what we'd normally call "fully up". Fully "up" is in fact MINUS SEVEN degrees.
A full solution will of course be for FSFlyingSchool to be changed so that the Maule's unusual design can be taken into account.

This makes perfect sense what you have said. I will try lowering the flaps one notch and see what happens. I don't mind flying with the flaps down one notch for now, as I am just sight seeing and learning to fly anyhow. Top speed is a low priority.
Thank you very much for your quick and courteous response.

Hello: I tried flying with my flaps down one notch, and now Mr Smith does not mention my flaps.
This is a work around for now.
Thank you for the assistance.
