Yesterday I purchased FSFlyingSChool 2017 and installed it.
I use the EADT 737-800 which automatically should be recognized by FSFlyingSchool 2017 v5.3.0. However it does not.
I found out that the Aircraft Folder of FSFlyingSchool does contain 29 files only, the xp737-800 for instance is missing.
I another thread here I found 4 737-800 files so I found a workaround however there should be many more files.
Who can help?

Hi Flugkorn:

Glad to help!

A great number of the planes automatically supported by FSFlyingSchool 2017 for X-Plane 11 and 10 are not represented by files in the aircraft folder. They do not need to be; their support is built into the program.

The EADT 737-800 is automatically supported, but there are circumstances, as with all aircraft, in which this notion can be compromised.

What is the exact name of the folder in which the specific plane is installed?

Hi Flugkorn:

This is a puzzle - we are looking into it - thanks for reporting it.

The plane can be made to be supported if, as you may have already done, the Aircraft folder of FSFlyingSchool contains a file called:

xpx737-800_v503.fsu

with the correct data in it.

The data may be what you have already found, that is...

http://www.fsflyingschool.com/aircraft/FSFlyingSchool_files_for_xpx737-800_v501.zip

I mention this as interested pilots may not want to wait for any other solutions. Just grab the file inside from the above zip called

xpx737-800_v501.fsu

and copy it into the Aircraft folder and rename it to

xpx737-800_v503.fsu

As I said, this should be supported automatically without the need for the file to be there - we are troubleshooting this now.

Note that none of this applies to the other planes recently added into FSFlyingSchool 2016 and 2017, which are supported without the need for matching files in the Aircraft folder.

Hi Flugkorn:

We will build support into the next published version but in the meantime, if this file is placed into the Aircraft folder of FSFlyingSchool 2017 for X-Plane 11 and 10, the plane will be supported and the pilot will be able to submit scores to the FSFlyingSchool website pilot scoring tables.

http://www.fsflyingschool.com/aircraft/xpb737_800.fsr

Note to all readers - if you wish to fly in X-Plane 10 or X-Plane 11 with FSFlyingSchool 2017 for X-Plane 11 and 10 in a Boeing 737-800, please put the above file into the folder described above.

The current version (as of Oct 03 2017) of FSFlyingSchool 2017 for X-Plane 11 and 10 is 5.3.0. In later versions the operation described above will not be necessary.
