Hello
i have just upgraded to FSschool 2017 from 2013 for FS9 and it installed ok. When I go to run the makerunways, it gets to

FS FlyingSchool Runway Data v3.41
Mapping Airports 25009

then I get an error

Error:9 Subscript out of range
Location: ProcessRunwayTextFile

The program then Quits.

If I then try and connect to FS9, I get another error

Error:91 object variable with block variable not set
Location: LoadRunways
File Read: D:\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator9\FSFS2011.TXT
Status: Adding runway line 0
Line: 1480

Hi chickster25:

Sorry this has taken a while to look into this puzzle...

First things first - I want to get you up and flying ASAP and we should be able to do this by simply renaming the file what was (presumably) created when you ran the runway data generation process (which had the problem).

1. Please tell me the size, date and time shown on this file

D:\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator9\FSFS2011.TXT

2. Please quit all programs and then rename that file to something else (such as "RenamedFSFS2011.TXT")

3. Now launch FS2004, get into a plane, and then launch FSFlyingSchool PRO 2017 for FSX/FSX-SE/FS2004 and finally press "connect" in FSFlyingSchool.

If the file FSFS2011.TXT is not present in the flight simulator folder, then FSFlyingSchool will use its own file it is shipped with (which is a default version).

This will mean that you can go flying happily, with default data. We can then move on to trying to solve the issue of creating your own runway data which reflects add-on scenery on your own PC.

Please let me know how you get on with this first phase.

hello

Thanks for the update. The file was created on 12th May 2017 17:59 and is 7.29MB

I did as you suggested and when I loading FS School it went through a processing option and then ran ok.

im not sue if its relevant but I did upgrade FS School from a 2013 version, which I already had installed

Hi chickster25:

Great to hear you are up and flying!

1. Could it be that you generated the data successfully on 27 May 2017 using FSFlyingSchool 2013?

If this is the case it could be that the data was not changed when you tried to generate it with FSFlyingSchool PRO 2017 for FSX/FSX-SE/FS2004.

2. Do you have add-on scenery that you want to fly around and into and out of with FSFlyingSchool? If not then we need go no further - you are not required to generate the data.

3. If you do want to fly around and into and out of the add-on scenery, then I recommend that you first try it with FSFlyingSchool and see what results you get.

If you think that something is wrong with the way that FSFlyingSchool is performing when you are in that region (such as telling you that you landed off a runway when you really landed ON the runway) then the only solution will be to generate the data. At present - generating the data on your PC is an unsolved puzzle.

Please let me know how you get on.

Hello
After performing the reset as above, I ran a fresh "Generate Runway data for FS2004" but it fell over again with Error 9 on Mapping airport 24576

I do have about 800 add-on sceneries, but I can run MakeRunways.exe on its own with no issues and it completes.

Is there a way to locate airport 24576?

I saw on another forum post that someone reported the same error and they were sent a software patch to fix it, or was that for a different version of FS school?

1. Can you tell me the date and time of the

MakeRwys.exe

application file that you have said you can run? I need to know this next in order to proceed. Please make certain that it is the one the runs fine.

2. Can you tell me the full name of the folder in which it is located?
