i'm benefiting from using FSFLyingschool pro, especially improving my landings and correct use of lights. but each time i fly i seem to have to repeat a bunch of settings, eg instructor volume to quiet, monitor lights etc. i've looked around, tried saving Pilot etc. finger trouble i expect because there must be a way to make these persistent.

Hi:
Thanks for getting in touch.
As you will know from the way the screens are laid out, some of these settings are saved with the pilot and some of them with the specific aircraft.
To save the data at the pilots screen you must press save at that screen.
To save the data at the aircraft screen, you must simply be connected to the simulator with the FSFlyingSchool aircraft screen settings you want in effect - then when you exit FSFlyingSchool the settings are saved - unless an error occurs, but you would of course see that on the screen.
Another issue is that different liveries (paint-jobs) on planes can sometimes result in the plane being treated as a different aircraft to one in a different color. This can mean that settings you have used for (for example) the red version of the plane are not passed onto the blue version of the plane - so you would have to set them again - but of course only once as they are saved when you quit FSFlyingSchool.

ah ha ok that answers it. i was in the habit, after parking, of quiting x-plane (or p3d), then cleaning up any 3rd party windows that was behind it. thanks.
