I'm a long-time (ex-FSX) FSFS user - and have migrated almost 100% to P3D.

I find the FSFS product page totally confusing with respect to P3Dv3. Basically, it just re-displays the FSX page - and it's impossible to work out which features (or aircraft) will work.

Could this page be updated to show:

1) Which features will work in P3Dv3
2) Which default P3Dv3 aircraft are supported.
3) Which P3Dv3-compatible add-on aircraft are supported (or have add-on packs).

P3Dv3 is gaining ground rapidly over FSX. It'd be great to see FSFS embrace P3D fully.

Adam.

Hi Adam:

Many thanks for your input - we will certainly see what we can do to make the situation as clear as possible both on the FSX pages and P3D pages.

The design for both sets of pages is based on the pilot knowing which planes are up and flying on his/her own chosen simulator - and of those that are, if we say they have a detail pack in FSFS, then they will get the detail pack treatment.

For example, if the pilot has a plane made for FSX running on P3D, and we say we give it the detail pack treatment - then we do.

>> Which P3Dv3-compatible add-on aircraft are supported (or have add-on packs).

As you may imagine it would be impractical for us to list this for P3D or FSX or FS2004 as there are so many add-on aircraft and FSFS's baseline is to support any powered airplane.

Keeping in mind that the planes we presently list are those specifically with FSFS detail packs, then the overall picture might be summarized as: "If you have any of the planes listed up and running on your simulator - they will get the detailed treatment from FSFS."

This has been our format of presentation since we did the first aircraft that was not built into the simulator, specifically the c152 for FSX. The user will know if he/she has that plane.

We will see what we can do to make the situation as clear as possible both on the FSX and P3D pages.

Good news - at present the only difference compared to our FSX product is that FSFS PRO 2016 for P3Dv3 does not have a detail pack for the FSX Boeing 737-800.
