When I made a flight with FSFS I noticed that it does not complain when you bust your assigned altitude. May I suggest that this might be added in a future upgrade?

We loooooove suggestions for future releases! Thanks!

Now then - this is an interesting point and one that we have indeed been looking at.

FSFS will deduct points if you are cruising at an unreasonably low level, but does not yet monitor your assigned altitude.

We are certainly working on tracking target altitudes at waypoints in the pilot's flight plan. This makes the whole business of following a flight plan much more interesting as the challenge becomes truly 3 dimensional.

Why only at waypoints and not all the time? Radar Contact yells at me if I am not at my assigned altitude no matter when and where it happens so it should be possible

Yes indeed - we would like to get to that point ; at present we are working on improving what we already have - in this instance, the processing of flight plans and their waypoints.

Radar Contact concentrates on masses of things in the world of ATC and we concentrate on masses of things in the world of airmanship, failure simulation, etc

Not really a big deal but it would add to the experience having the instructor review your flight plan while loading it. I remember I made a mistake some time ago and missed out a trailing zero in the cruise altitude of the flight plan I was filing. After takeoff ATC cleared me to my "requested" altitude of 300' so I there I was, dodging antennas all over Boston for a few minutes before I realized what was going on!

Again, probably not something worth diverting developer resources for but the concept of having the instructor review the flight plan is appealing. Fuel calcs, altitudes, weight etc...

Whoa! Sounds like an interesting flight! The FSFS team of instructors would have been yelling out all sorts of things about "flying too low over that thing" and cruising too low and more.
I see your point - very interesting.

This certainly could be incorporated into FSFS and would make for an interesting addition, especially, as you say, if it could take into account, fuel, altitudes, etc.
It would be nice to have the instructor start off with something like
"KLAX to EGLL - in a Cessna 172 - hmmmmm...  I don't think so my friend...!"

Consider this added to the list of things to think about!
