Hi

Mr Whittle is obviously either asleep or distracted by my knees. All through every flight he tells me to 'adjust my altimeter settings'!! I can bang the 'b' button till the pigs fly past me but he takes no notice and goes on telling me as though I have never done anything. It is monotonously boring and irritating!

I fly 'real weather' by the way.

This problem has occurred in a small number of installations and we are looking into its cause. We hope to have this resolved by the next release of FSFS. In the meantime the problem can be solved by putting the following file into the folder of every instructor you use, in order to replace their request that you reset your altimeter with silence.

For example, to stop this for Mr Smith you would place the attached file here:
C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool\Sound\MrSmith\SetAltimeterToQNH.wav

(Tell Windows to overwrite the current file).

If you right click on the file and

Save Target As

you should get it. Does that not work?

Yup! That did the trick. Sorry about that - I don't normally use IE Explorer so hadn't thought of it.

Cheers
