Excessive speed in a Cessna 172?! HOW! :-)
What are the parameters for receiving the "Excessive speed at low altitude" message? I have been flying the same circuit all day (practice, practice, practice) and I have had this twice today but dunno how to fix it!
Thanks,
Steven.

Steven: This will be reported when the aircraft is at a low altitude, not taking off, but is flying at a cruising speed, or more precisely, at a speed which is significantly higher than the landing configuration stall speed. The basic idea is that if the pilot is getting down close to the ground, it's time to be getting down to landing speed. Note also that the pilot should of course advance FSFS to 'landing mode' when descending for landing.
