Hi, I'm trying the demo but but whenever there is a scenery update in FSX, the program disconnects with this message: AUTO-Disconnection due to: Time of day or date changed. How do I fix this? Thanks!

Does the PC "pause" (freeze) for several seconds when new scenery is being loaded by FSX?

Yes it does. I currently have FSX on an older SATA II drive and this week will transfer it over to an SSD. That should speed up the load times. But, does that cause your program to think the date/time has changed?

My best interpretation of the facts is that it does cause FSFS to think that the time of day has been altered because the clock has changed appreciably since the last time FSFS looked at it.

FSFS looks at the time of day to make sure that the flight is being flown "normally" as it were, and that the pilot is not doing odd things like changing the time of day during a flight, which would make offering advice very difficult and therefore it simply disconnects - deliberately.

This is never, normally, a problem.

It sounds like it will not be a problem with your planned change.

I suggest you might want to keep to the demo until you get set up and only ever make a purchase if you are satisfied that it is all running smoothly on your PC.

I think that I fixed this. It was because of an FSUIPC setting to keep the FSX clock synced.

Hi:

The setting is available to users of the registered version of FSUIPC.

When in a cockpit in FSX pick 'Add-ons' from the FSX menu bar, then 'FSUIPC'.

Here it is:
