When connected with FSFlyingSchool Pro 2013 for Prepar3D on an approach, I cannot select flap settings and Prepar3D no longer recognises my controllers (joystick, throttle, rudder pedals). The only remedy is to disconnect FSFlyingSchool and resume the approach outside of the software. Is this a problem with FSUIPC? It does rather defeat the object of using FSFlyingSchool. FYI the aircraft is an addon heavy (Airbus A380 merge).

Problem now solved. It would appear that the merge required further tweaking for Prepar3D in the form of certain revisions in the aircraft.cfg file which were not an issue in FSX. Now I can fly an approach in FSFlyingSchool with full authority over flap setting and the controllers are now recognised by Prepar3D, without recourse to disconnecting FSFlyingSchool itself once having set up the approach properly. I suppose that this demonstrates the care with which one must carry out a merge when borrowing parts from both models concerned to achieve an airworthy result. So, case closed.
