I tried to post this as a quoted reply in The Hangar thread, but it wouldn't let me, where it said that "if you seen a plane you would like to see added to The Hangar, post the fsu's here".

I couldn't do so -it said the administrators have that thread set that way or something. So I'm posting it here, if it's OK...

I would like to see Flight One Software Conquest 441 II added to The Hangar.

Attached are the fsu's from both FS2004 and FSX for the Conquest 441,along with the flight maps and pilot logs for those flights.

The link for the 441 Conquest II.

Thanks!

Hi SL;

A while back, I got an email saying that the FSFS was going to add more planes to the official Scoring Table, and it requested that we send in some suggestions.

I did send in quite a few planes (lol), along with download links and data for those planes, and FSFS 'Support' did email me back in late November of last year saying that they would be added.

I haven't seen them yet. Are they included in a new version of the FS Flying School maybe? I have the FSFlyingSchool v5.8.6 currently...

Or maybe I simply cannot find it here in the forums, and there is an updated list here somewhere, I'm not quite sure...

I'm seeing the same list that is listed here: http://www.fsflyingschool.com/forum/Topic305-5-1.aspx , the thread titled "Pinned: The Hangar - FSFlyingSchool Aircraft - Add your favorite aircraft to FSFlyingSchool in about 1 minute".

The file that I downloaded today from that page looks the same as the one in my pc's files, and on the list in the above-stated page, also.

I'm asking, being there are a few more that I would like to see added (alongside the ones I already sent in) to the official Scoring Table -mainly payware planes, but some payware-quality (imo) freeware ones, too.

In an unrelated note, I had problems posting this reply on my laptop in this thread, it's running on IE 10 -which just got updated/installed by MicroSoft to my laptop the other day, from IE9.
This message (and post here now) was made on my desktop using Firefox, and it posted fine as we see now. Any ideas why?

-please send my apologies to Robert in FSFS 'Support' for bugging him about this. I sent him a copy of this thread reply in an email, not knowing if it would work here OK...

Thanks Jeff!

No reply or comment. Interesting.

It's like I'm talking about an email that no one else got.

-or was this some kind of autogen solicitation message sent out from Vertical Response...

Either way, the scoring planes hangar needs a serious upgrade...

Here's the email I got, from 11-8-2012, 9:50 am:

Hi Steve

I got the mail too - and I am sure that everyone else did too...

I am equally sure that the devs will update the hanger with yours and others´ submitted files ASAP.

I look forward to flying with "your" aircraft fully supported in FSFS Pro!

Hi Steve:

Mega-apologies for the delay in replying to your post!

The fact is I wanted to give you a definitive date when the updates will be complete and was unable to do so.

The planes / files have not been updated yet.

As the data in each FSR file has a corresponding encrypted key at the server side, to prevent people modifying the file with outrageous values to make scoring easier, the process is not an automated one and is instead a dreadfully fiddly business that we have to do by hand. This is why we are unable to do it as quickly as we would all like and have to set aside a chunk of time to do it in a batch.

We were looking at a new process to automate the process (hence the email everyone received) but are not happy with the results (it is in beta testing) and so will need to resort to the manual method instead.

I believe we will be able to get it done in the next week or two and once done, we would be delighted to see what other planes you have for us!

Thanks for your input and your patience.

Different versions of different browsers have been reported as having issues, very, very rarely, with this forum, but I cannot recall any specific browsers that never work with it. Unfortunately we cannot say much more than that and encourage folks to use a a browser, at least in forum sessions, that works with it.
As you can imagine the forum software is not our own and cannot be adjusted to work with this version or that.

We have no widespread reports of problems with any particular browser.

So...

>> Any ideas why?

... not as such.

Likewise Ole, although I certainly don't ever expect to come close to your stratospheric scores. You are a hard act to follow...

Sometimes I just look those scores, and stare at the screen shaking my head...

Thanks for replying SL. I certainly didn't think this was such a thorn in your side...

No apologies necessary, as far as any definitive date is concerned. In fact, I'm the one who should be apologizing to you:

I made the assumption that when I got that email, that the process of adding the new planes was to be an automatic thing, and from the sounds of it, that's exactly what the FSFS was hoping to attain. That's bad to have to do it by hand in this day and age, now I wish I never brought it up.
I never gave it any thought that the process was in beta testing, nor did I see it from 'your side' of things, as to making sure the code couldn't be altered by someone trying to manipulate scoring. So please accept my apologies, sir...

If there's anything more I can do to help you out on the process, please feel free to ask -it's the least I can do.

It's good to know that this 'adding planes to the scoring hangar' process ranks up there on the FS Flying School's 'priorities' list, though. Myself, I have many payware planes, but they are newer models.
Not to knock on some of those older paywares -some of them are 'must haves' imo- but personally nowadays I'd rather be buying the new ones.

I think that if there are more more planes on that scoring list -especially many of the newer freeware and payware models out there- more people will take to flying the 'scoring aircraft' end of FSFS much more, being many would probably have many of those planes in their own hangar already, even before FSFS adds them to the list.

As far as the Internet browser problem I had, and I never had any problems ever while on this site, till recently.
I'll just stick with FriedFox. I always hated IE8 and 9 anyways, and now I really hate the IE10. It's a dog imo...

It seems that I have to do the 'try a new browser' a lot these days, and not just on this site.

I never had to run two browsers on any pc in the old days, but unfortunately it's becoming commonplace more and more, and I hate it. I'm too old school and too old period to remember what browser works good on what site...

_______________________________________________________

The Vertical Response I referred to was on the bottom of the email. I can live with it -I get worse solicitations, btw...

The site shows that Ole submitted 49 scores to it in a single day!

That's some serious 'simming'!
