If you have problems running FSFlyingSchool for X-Plane 10 (multiple planes edition)...

Vista / Windows 7 Users
Please make sure you run FSFlyingSchool in admin mode, by right clicking on the "FSFlyingSchool for X-Plane" shortcut and selecting "Run as administrator" from the menu.

No X-Plane Found?
If you get the message "No X-Plane Found", then first make sure you're running in admin mode (see above).

If that doesn't work then we need to check the XPUIPC installation...
* Close FSFlyingSchool and X-Plane
* Open the "Resources\Plugins" folder which can be found in your X-Plane installation folder.
* Are there any XPUIPC files listed in this folder?
* If not please download this zip file and extract the files into the above folder.
* Note that these files are NOT the same as those used with FSFS for XP10 Cessna 172 Edition. They must replace them if you have already installed FSFS for XP10 Cessna Edition. These files work with both versions of FSFS for XP10.

* Now run X-Plane, and then FSFlyingSchool - it should now say "Monitoring X-Plane"

Locate X-Plane Installation
The "Search" button will look for an X-Plane installation on the currently selected drive, in the example C: [VistaOS]
The "Browse" button can be used to manually locate the X-Plane installation folder.

Please let us know if you still have problems?

Hi Sam:

Thanks for your email and your interest in our products!

I am sorry to read that you have experienced this problem with our XP product.

In order for FSFS to function, XP must have XPUIPC shown on its plugins menu.

If it is not there, we need to determine why not, and get it there, and get you flying with us!

Normally, the only thing required to have the plugin present in XP is for it to have been placed in the plugins folder of XP - this is done by our installation software.

If this ever needs to be done manually, the only thing required to have the plugin present in XP is to place it in the plugins folder of XP, and then quit XP and start it again.

Some questions...

1) Please make sure you are using the 32 bit version of X-Plane 10 and that it is not a beta version of XP. Our software is not designed to work under any other version of XP, specifically not the 64 bit version and not any beta. We look forward to supporting the 64 bit version soon.

The 64 bit version will not see the 32 bit plugins and so will not be able to function with XP10.

2) Please let me know the following information on the files

XPUIPCOffsets.cfg
XPUIPC.xpl

which I understand are now in the plugins folder of your XP installation on your PC...

- The file name
- The file date
- The file time
- The file size

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello,

Thanks for your quick response! And it's my fault it's not working I'm using the 64bit version, tried the 32 and it works fine. Will there be a 64bit edition released?

Cheers,

Sam

Hi Sam:

Good to hear you are up and running!

We certainly hope to cover the 64 bit version soon - no date at the moment - but as you can imagine we want to ASAP.
