I just started with FSF Pro 2013 and so far did eight flights. Major thing...I don't understand what instructor is saying. Most times they say nothing. When bearings given or airport names spelled the pauses between numerals and letters are so long that one looses a track of what was said. Today few a Carenado Cessna 185 Ski taking off from a dry runway with skis up but instructor asked to raise the undercarriage. He was actually happy when I lowered the skis. Result was a crash at -52 FPM and ground speed of 41 knots with gear(skis) down. There a few controversial assesments given too: Smooth turns. Nice banking. Correct matching of flaps to speeds. Comfortable G forces. Flown within aircraft's maximum speed limit. Gentle taxi turns. Good take off steering. Rotation was not late. Safe taxi speed. Smooth braking during taxi. Smooth climb during takeoff. Wings level near ground. Well coordinated turns. No stalls. Smooth comfortable descent rate. Pitch not too low. Flaps down on time. Approach speed not too fast. Good clearance of obstaclesand then: - Exceeding gear speed - your landing gear may be damaged: have it checked.
- Rough pitch control - that flight felt like a rollercoaster.
- Poor elevator control during taxi in wind - danger of flipping.
- Poor aileron control during taxi in wind - danger of flipping.
- Airspeed too low - you are risking stalls.
- Nose held too high - spilt drinks and worried expressions.
- Excessive speed at low altitude - several complaints have been filed.
- Poorly trimmed aircraft - trimmers are there to help: use them.
Especially on landing instructions are practically nonexistent. Did I do something wrong? I know that ski version of Cessna 185 may not be configured yet into FSF but regardles this flight should not be cosidered a crash. Will keep trying and perhaps one day I will understand what they say.

Hi:
All aircraft are different and FSFS may have some issues with some - we cannot test all of them and this is why we have always offered a free demo of every product we sell.
I would suggest that you start out with perhaps the Cessna 172, which has a detail pack, and you will get plenty of instruction from Mr Smith.
If the voice is lagging behind, as with the speaking of letters and numbers, this is a sign that the PC is being worked too hard. If FSX runs smoothly, so will FSFS. Usually this can be solved by making certain that no other programs are running and that your FSX configuration is already giving you a good 'frames-per-second' (FPS) rate.
Again, this is why we have always offered a free demo of every product we sell.
