FSFlyingSchool Pro for FSX and FS2004 NEW Version 5.8.6 New 'Pause IT!' Feature! Calling ALL Flight-Sim Pilots! 
We have some new information for you about the release of a new version of our FSFlyingSchool Pro add-on for FSX and FS2004! What's new in this version? - With the new 'Pause IT!' feature, the pilot has the option to have FSFlyingSchool PRO automatically pause the flight in Flight Simulator when something occurs that the instructor judges to be important.
- The pilot has the option to have the pause occur on serious events and/or less serious events, so that the experience is at the level desired by the pilot.
- There is also an option to set the minimum period between pauses, so that the pilot's flights are not constantly interrupted.
- The 'Pause IT!' feature goes a long way toward drawing attention to specific areas the pilot may wish to master and as Flight Simulator is paused, the pilot has time to take careful note of what each issue was. Added to this is the display of the Flight Simulator keystroke necessary (if it exists) to correct the issue.
- With the addition of the new 'Pause IT!' feature, FSFlyingSchool PRO has never worked harder to get pilots straightened up and flying right!
- Configure the new FSFlyingSchool PRO 'Pause IT!' option the way you want it!

I have version 5.8.0 this new version 5.8.6 is that a free upgrade?

Hi Concorde:
It sure is free to anyone who already owns FSFlyingSchool PRO - not free to owners of earlier products. 
As you own FSFlyingSchool PRO, just download and install into the same folder - and you will have the new version. 
For owners of versions of FSFlyingSchool before PRO, it's best to install into a new folder and try it out - if you are happy then you can buy it and register it. 
It has always been our policy to offer free updates of FSFlyingSchool for owners of the same version, for example, FSFlyingSchool PRO is always version 5.xxx. FSFlyingSchool 2011 was version 4.xxx and so on.

Hi there
I have FSFlyingSchool2011 Upgraded from 2010 and two add on packs (Cessna 152 and Voice).
I downloaded the latest version (in August) which I assumed was a free update and now am only in demo mode.
Does the current offer on the website:
"Upgrade by download from FSFlyingSchool 2011 to FSFlyingSchool Pro for only $14.95"
mean that my other two packs will still work or do I have to pay to upgrade those too?
Presumably if I also purchase the x-plane 10 as follows:
Buy the download of FSFlyingSchool for X-Plane 10 - Cessna 172 Edition for only $19.95
I would also need to buy a separate voicepack for that sim (as opposed to the FSX version)?

Thanks for your support over the years!
Any free updates we publish are always to the version of the program already on your PC. If you have 2011, you will not be able to "update" for free to FSFS PRO which is a different product.
The good news is that if you upgrade from 2011 to PRO as you have described, your Voice Pack will still work (just enter the code). You mentioned having the c152 pack but I think that perhaps you mean the c172 pack as the c152 will not work with 2011.
No problem - the c172 pack is built into PRO - there is nothing to enter - it's there already.
As to X-Plane - you are quite correct - the Voice Pack for X-Plane is a different product to the Voice Pack for FSX. The FSX Voice Pack will not work with our X-Plane products.
The good news is that you can buy the FSFS for X-Plane 10 Cessna 172 product bundled with the Voice Pack for FSFS for X-Plane at a savings.

Many thanks for the reply. It was a slip of the digit and I did indeed mean C172 not C152 (I had just been flying a C152).
Ok cool, so I'll upgrade to PRO now for FSX.
I am currently stuck between a rock and a hard place with X-Plane because my windows system struggles with it and I can't do much about it (any bigger GFX card will require a bigger PSU and it's only a small case).
I am probably going to get a new GFX card compatible with my linux box (beefier box for x-plane 10) but then I won't be able to run FFFS on that platform.
As/when I get a more powerful Windows box with a heavy duty GFX card I'll get FFFS for X-Plane too.

Ok, 3 purchases made (upgrade to Pro, Final Approach and C152). When I go to download the latest (demo) software it asks for my name and email address.
This may well mean I'll get yet more duplications of newsletters (hopefully not).

Our email system rejects duplicates and so as long as you always use the same email address then you will only get one piece of mail.
Of course if you give other addresses, the mail will go to them in addition.
