I cannot get Voice Command to work with FSFS and FSX. I have been in contact with FSFS support, and they have tried to help with this issue. However, they could not resolve the problem. I am NOT complaining about FSFS, or their support. They tried, they really did. It's just that they could not figure out why Voice Command is not working for me when it so obviously works on so many systems world wide. I just hate to give up, because I would really like to have this functionality.

Therefore I'm hoping that maybe someone on the forums may have experienced this problem, and found out some quirky, oddball reason it was not working for them, and what solution they may have found.

Here is what I'm running:

Operating System: Win 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.
FSFS version – latest.
FSX Version: 10.0.61637.0 (FSX-Xpace 20070926-1421)

I have extensively trained Microsoft's voice recognition, and it functions normally with Word or Notepad. I have a product key for the Voice Command add-on, and it shows up as active in the FSFS setting. It just is NEVER recognized when running FSX regardless of what voice command I speak, and I've tried them all.

Anyone have any ideas?

Once again let me clearly state that I have the highest regard for the folks at FSFS and their attempts to solve this problem. Nothing I say in this post, or any subsequent posts made in an attempt to get voice command working for me should in ANY way be taken as a disparaging view of FSFS or the people involved with FSFS.

Many thanks.

Hi WR:

The only thing I can add to the case is that you reported that, as required, the Windows Speech Recognition program itself is not running at the same time as FSFlyingSchool.

This is entirely as it should be.

Any user can test the speech recognition accuracy of the PC before launching FSFlyingSchool, but the program must be closed before launching FSFlyingSchool if FSFlyingSchool is going to be used with the Voice Command Pack.

I mention this in order to save time in case any forum member suggested checking this.

If anyone has any ideas, please let us know!
