I have Flying school 2019, recently purchased. I tried the first time today and I get continuous message about retracting the spoilers. To my knowledge a Cessna 172 does not have these. I have tried different instructors inc Mr Smith and get the same, Re-loaded Flying school and x-plane and no difference
What can I do?
Many thanks
LAx

Hi LAX:

This can be caused by the data of a specific aircraft, usually an add-on, sending data to the simulator which indicates that it has spoilers - even when it does not.

Are you using any add-ons for the default c172 such as REP?

Next - please try the same with a different plane which has no spoilers and is supplied with X-Plane and please let me know what results you get.

Are you using additional hardware such as a quadrant or spoiler controllers?

Hi Jeff,
Thanx for getting back to me and the suggestions.
I have isolated the problem to my throttle unit, one of the axis dials was mapped to speed brakes by default and this was giving a false output. I removed the mapping and it is working fine now.
Tried again on the default C172 and also Beech 58 and no annoying retract spoilers announcement.
This is a great product, thank you for developing it
