Instructs me to turn off the fuel pump even though the fuel pump is off.
I have tried over and over turning the fuel pump on and off.
Constantly repeats the same message approx. every 30 seconds.
Otherwise okay and I enjoy using it very much.
Really a great product.
I am using Windows 7 Professional.

Yes, we've had a report of this before.
Please see this post for the solution! Except you need to look in the X-Plane 10 folder instead of X-Plane 9.

I am using X-Plane v9.7 and running Windows 7 Professional. I had the latest version of XPUIPC installed already but I re installed the latest version again just in case. The gentlemen, Mr. Smith is still very insistent that I turn the fuel pump off anyway. Very tiresome, to the point that it renders the program unusable.
I know that you are smart enough to figure this out so what can I do now. I Love the program and really need to get it fixed.

Hmm, this is usually fixed by updating XPUIPC. We'll look into it...
For now the quickest fix for you is to disable Mr Smith's "Fuel Pump Off" sound file by:
* Find FuelPumpOff.wav (e.g. inside C:\Program Files (x86)\FSFlyingSchoolXPlane\Sound\MrSmith\c172)
* Rename FuelPumpOff.wav to FuelPumpOff-Disabled.wav
Then Mr Smith will quit nagging you about turning the fuel pump off!

Thanks for the tip. Mr. Smith finally rests and I am once again enjoying the program. I'll wait for your permanent solution.

Yes S.L normally when 'Display Captions in X-Plane' is switched on in the FS Options one has the written commands in a line at the top of the page--a written form of what you hear & request. It doesn't come up for me in v10--Cheers

Hi -
Sorry for the delay!
No captions in FSFS for XP10???!
Captions used to work fine for you - right? (Just confirming - was solid - no variations?).
I am NOT suggesting you change ANYTHING - (please don't!) - but can you tell me if you have uninstalled and reinstalled FSFS for XP10?
Also - EVERYONE! - does anyone else have captions not working in FSFS for XP10...?
